Political Mayhem

Okay, so here is the interesting story. We begin October with an election. The election resulted in another minority government, with Stephen Harper taking the most seats of anyone, hence making him Prime Minister. Now, cut to the middle of November, when the new session resumes with the winner of the election taking his seat. Of course, since Harper was already in office, he just kept going as normal. But, then at the beginning of December, we see the leaders of the other parties step up and form a coalition. Their reasoning was that because more Canadians voted for them as a whole (3 parties worth) that they should all share leadership. Umm...what? We now have a coalition government that is trying to get power to save the bankrupt Liberal party. Does any of them realize what this means for democracy? Not to mention the fact that they are all in bed with the Bloc? The Bloc who still wants Quebec to separate, and break up Canada?! They are freakin' insane! The whole lot of them! I am hoping that the Governer General tells them all to grow up.

So, the government is out until the 27th or so of January, when Harper is going to release the budget. The Liberals have already stated that they will vote down the budget, no matter what it has in it. Bunch of dummies. They played their hand already. So, when they do vote it down they seem like morons, if it's a good budget, and if they accept it, they look like hypocrites. Sounds like a great January!
